The WireTech Istanbul Fair and the Tube & Steel Istanbul Fair, which were first held in 2019, and saw the participation of Messe Duesseldorf in 2023, will return in 2025 with new names: Eurasia Fair and Tube Eurasia Fair.

“After deciding to work together to combine the experience and expertise in trade fair organization of the Tüyap Fair Organization Group with Messe Düsseldorf’s strength in the European market, we had a very successful premiere at wire and Tube Eurasia,” said Messe Düsseldorf GmbH Executive Director Bernd Jablonowski. “Our aim is to take this success one step further in 2025. We really believe in Türkiye, particularly in its potential in the construction and energy industries.”

Under the global umbrella brand of “Metalflow Alliance,” Germany’s Messe Düsseldorf  will represent seven of its trade shows as part of two co-located Saudi Arabia trade events in May 2025.

A press release said that the Messe will be at two Saudi trade fairs—Metal & Steel Saudi Arabia and Saudi Projects—May 5-7, 2025, the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center. There, the event organizer will present “news and trends” from the following trade fairs: wire, Tube, VALVE WORLD EXPO and GIFA (foundry), METEC (metallurgy), THERMPROCESS (thermo processing)  and NEWCAST (castings).

Described as the leading trade fairs of the Saudi construction industry, Saudi Projects premiered in Riyadh in 2024 while the Metal & Steel trade fair already has a successful track record. Both trade fairs are organized by AGEX, the Arabian German International Exhibitions, in Riyadh.

The Metalflow Alliance will complement the Saudi trade fair duo. The joint trade fair date creates valuable synergies for exhibitors and visitors at all three events.

Metal & Steel and Saudi Projects are among the most important regional events and supply machines, systems, products and services for the rapidly growing demand in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi government is pursuing ambitious infrastructure goals, which are formulated and driven by Vision 2030. Significant investments are being made to transform the economy of Saudi Arabia, which has been described as booming.

Technologies and products from Metalflow Alliance exhibitors could soon become part of the economic diversification in Saudi Arabia. “The transformation of Saudi Arabia’s economy offers our metal trade fair exhibitors very promising opportunities to enter the Saudi market and, hence, plenty of potential for the coming years,” said Daniel Ryfisch, director of the wire, Tube & Flow Technologies portfolio at Messe Düsseldorf.

Organizers report that the recent first staging of the wire and Tube Eurasia trade fairs, held within the framework of the two established Turkish trade fairs Wire TECH Istanbul and Tube & Steel Istanbul, was a great success. Wire TECH Istanbul and Tube & Steel Istanbul 2023 were organized by Tüyap, a leading Turkish trade fair organizer and venue operator, while Messe Düsseldorf was in charge of wire and Tube Eurasia 2023.

A press release said that 210 exhibitors participated over 8,000 sq m of net exhibit space in the four events in Istanbul. More than 10,000 visitors from Turkey and neighboring countries came to the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center to learn about innovations and trends in the wire, cable, tube and pipe industries.

“A promising start to the premiere in Istanbul. A positively charged atmosphere in the exhibition halls right from the start - that makes you want more. The four days of the trade fair in Istanbul have shown that Turkey is a supra-regional hub for the wire, cable, tube and pipe industries,” said Bernd Jablonowski, executive director of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH.
With just five months preparation, the Messe Düsseldorf team and Tüyap succeeded in organizing a compact industry platform for Turkey and the surrounding regions which reflects the sectors’ innovation strength.

Starting in 2025, wire and Tube Eurasia will be held every two years as independent trade fairs at the Istanbul location. From Turkey, there are short trade routes to the neighboring countries and Asia, which means that the most important target countries can be reached. With wire and Tube Eurasia, the global network of satellite events in Messe Düsseldorf’s wire, Tube & Flow Technologies portfolio continues to grow. This year, satellite trade fairs will take place in Egypt, China and Thailand.

Messe Düsseldorf, the world’s largest organizer of trade events for the wire and cable industry, announced a new investment that will see it be active in Turkey as well as an offer for 2024 wire Düsseldorf exhibitors.

A press release said that on May 24-27, 2023, Messe Düsseldorf will hold two new trade fairs—wire Eurasia and Tube Eurasia—for the first time in Istanbul. They will initially be run as an investment business venture during two Turkish trade fairs: Wire Tech Istanbul and Tube + Steel Istanbul. These two events are held by Tüyap Fair Istanbul, a leading Turkish trade fair organizer and venue operator since 1979, at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center. From 2025 on, wire and Tube Eurasia will be organized as independent trade fairs at two-year intervals.

By way of this cooperation Tüyap and Messe Düsseldorf strengthen their concentrated expertise in the metal fairs segment. “The expansion of our metal trade fair portfolio towards Turkey is important and necessary to ensure continued growth in the market and to match our exhibitors’ changed needs,” said Daniel Ryfisch, director of Messe Düsseldorf’s wire, Tube and Flow Technologies portfolio. More information will soon be accessible at www.wire-eurasia.com.

Messe Düsseldorf also announced that, for the first time, early-bird discounts will be offered to exhibitors at wire Düsseldorf, to be held April 15-19, 2024. The discount will be available for wire 2024 at www.wire.de/1330 (German link) and www.wire.de/2330 (English link). wire 2022 saw 1,822 exhibitors from 50 countries presented on around 93,000 sq m for the combined wire and tube events.

Messe Düsseldorf has extended its family of trade shows for the wire and cable industry with its newest addition being wire Middle East Africa and Tube Middle East Africa.

A press release from Germany’s Messe Düsseldorf—which is one of the world’s 10 largest such organizers—said that wire Egypt will be held Sept. 2-4 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in Cairo, joined by Tube Egypt, and two other metal events: GIFA Middle East Africa, METEC Middle East Africa.

The wire and Tube events will be held in a designated location within the overall event. METAL & STEEL has been organized by AGEX (Arabian German Exhibitions & Publishing Ltd), has presented a wide range of machinery, equipment and products from the steel and metal industries for the Near and Middle East since 2010.

AGEX, a leading Egyptian organizer, has staged trade fairs and conferences in the region since 2004, specializing in the industrial sector. “We are very much looking forward to the partnership with AGEX and are confident that our metal trade fair quartet offers profitable synergies for all parties involved,” said Daniel Ryfisch and Malte Seifert, directors of the wire, Tube, GIFA and METEC trade fairs at the Düsseldorf, Germany location.

3/10/2022  Citing the disturbing events in Ukraine, the Supervisory Board of Messe Düsseldorf announced that it has decided to suspend the group’s business activities in Russia until further notice. It has also agreed to take in Ukrainian refugees at the Fairgrounds.

A press release said that the decision includes the activities of its subsidiary, Messe Düsseldorf Moscow. “The whole city of Düsseldorf is thinking of the people in Ukraine,” said Dr. Stephan Keller, Lord Mayor of the state capital Düsseldorf, and chairman of the Supervisory Board of Messe Düsseldorf. “After we have already put the city partnership between Moscow and Düsseldorf on ice, it is only logical that Messe Düsseldorf, as a subsidiary of the city, also suspends its activities in Russia for the time being.”

Added Wolfram N. Diener, CEO & president of Messe Düsseldorf, "The current events contradict the mission and values of our company, which is to create international marketplaces for free, cross-border intercultural and economic exchange.” The next scheduled staging of wire Moscow, to held at the Krasnaya Presnya, is in the summer of 2023.

The Messe also announced that by March 1, a thousand cots had been set up in Hall 6 to accommodate Ukrainian refugees who had fled their homeland. By the end of the day, they all were filled.

“On the day of construction, a large number of colleagues spontaneously lent a hand to make the accommodation possible as quickly as possible,” said Diener, who noted that the trade show organizer was pleased to accommodate a request from the Office for Migration and Integration of the city of Düsseldorf. “Because we are moved by the fate of the people. And because we are deeply moved by the plight of the refugees. Receiving and accommodating them is a matter of course for us.”

The cots were set up in Hall 6, which covers more than 25,000 sq m, by the Messe, working with the German Red Cross and the Düsseldorf Fire Department. Some 2,500 meters of partition walls were erected to divide the hall into smaller rooms. Hall 6 has its own changing rooms and 40 shower places. Capacity is supplemented by external shower containers. Catering will be provided by Stockheim, Messe Düsseldorf’s catering partner. All refugees will also have access to free WiFi, which will enable them to keep in touch with family and friends and to find out about developments in Ukraine.

At LinkedIn, the news was warmly greeted, including kudos from Sebastian K. of QUICKFairs, who wrote, “Make fairs, not war.”

3/4/2022   The new trade fair dates from June 20 – 24, 2022 promise the greatest possible planning security for exhibitors and significantly better travel conditions for trade visitors from all over the world. After four years without wire - International Wire and Cable Trade Fair - and Tube – International Tube and Pipe Trade Fair - the sectors will finally meet again in person at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany to exchange information about innovations from the wire, cable and tube industries.

wire and Tube will feature many innovations - end products in fasteners and springs, an ecoMetals campaign with guided tours to exhibitors such as AMPCO METAL Deutschland GmbH, ARCELOR MITTAL COMMERCIAL SECTIONS S.A., Georgsmarienhütte GmbH, Klöckner & Co SE and SMS group GmbH as well as expert meetings with keynote speeches by key players in the industries.

As the worldwide leading events for their industries, wire and Tube will not only present new machinery and plants but also increasingly sustainable solutions for e-mobility, digitalization and Industry 4.0. 1/20/2022 – The organizers of wire Düsseldorf and Tube Düsseldorf have set a new date for the events, which had previously been rescheduled to May 9-13.

A Messe Düsseldorf press release said that the event is now scheduled for June 20-24 due to the “currently very dynamic infection patterns and rapidly spreading Omicron variant.” The new date offers more planning security and added value due to METAV held concurrently in part.

“The tenor among our exhibitors is: We want and need wire and Tube – but at a point in time that promises the biggest prospects of success,” said Messe Düsseldorf CEO Wolfram N. Diener. “Together with the partners and associations involved we regard early summer as the ideal period for this. We not only expect infection patterns to calm down but also more people to be able to enter the country and take part. This means exhibiting companies as well as visitors can do their business in an environment that is clearly less affected by Covid-19.”
Bernd Jablonowski, division manager of the overall Metals and Flow Technologies Portfolio at Messe Düsseldorf, is confident that the delay will help. "Planning security for exhibitors, visitors and the entire trade fair industry is the most important thing in the continuing pandemic situation. By moving the industries' two top events to early summer, we are enabling a secure live trade fair experience that is adapted to the situation."

Added Daniel Ryfisch, project director wire and Tube, "I would like to thank our exhibitors and partners for their understanding and willingness to once again make wire and Tube with us from 20 to 24 June the industry highlights they have been for more than 30 years at the Düsseldorf location."

Exhibitors at wire will present their technological highlights in exhibition halls 9 to 15, while Tube exhibitors will be in halls 1 to 7a. A guest event, METAV, International Trade Fair for metal-working technologies, will be held from June 21-24 June in halls 16 and 17. METAV is organized and staged by the VDW, German Machine Tool Builders' Association.
