Double Block
A means of obtaining a non-slip accumulation type wiredrawing machine without the use of overhead takeoff pulleys so as to avoid twist in the wire. A second block is mounted above the drawing block and on the same spindle, but the upper block is free to rotate in either direction. Wire is transferred from one block to the other via a pulley. The term double deck block is more properly applied to a bull block designed to produce a double draft.
