Fiberglass

Glass used in a fibrous form, such as a yarn, that can be used for braiding when high heat and moisture resistance are necessary. While not as abrasion-resistant as cotton, it is satisfactory for most applications and can, if necessary, be protected with an extruded nylon jacket.
