Ring Winding

A means of winding an un­broken core, as in toroidal coil winding, by the use of two rings set side by side. Each ring is provided with a removable segment so that it may be linked through the core. One of the rings (the magazine ring) is of channel section, forming a spool. The other ring (the driving ring) carries a pulley.
