Roller
1) In rolling mill terminology, a part of a roller table which is more for material handling as contrasted with “roll” which is part of a rolling mill stand which is part of the product producing function. The roller transports the metal stock to the stands or acts as a carryout table after the specific operation releases the stock. 2) The person in charge of the actual rolling. 3) The component of a rolling operation that is designed to develop the product with a necessary profile, either progressive, grooved or whatever design is required.
