Silver Solder
A soldering alloy that has the basic composition of varying proportions (10-percent to 99-percent silver), and may also contain zinc, copper, cadmium or phosphorus. An alloy containing no silver but 92 percent copper and 8 percent phosphorus with a melting point of 705°C is also used. The effect of adding silver to copper or copper-zinc alloy is to lower the melting point and increase the fluidity of the solder which still retains high strength.
