WAI New England Chapter Annual Meeting Returns to Mohegan Sun in 2026 The WAI New England Chapter will host its 2026 Annual Meeting at the Cabaret Theatre at Mohegan Sun
In 2025, WAI’s Midwest, New England, Southeast, and Ohio Valley Chapters awarded 13 scholarships totaling $26,100 to eligible students connected to chapter members. Applications for 2026 chapter scholarships—open to academically qualified high school seniors who are children, grandchildren, or dependents of members—are due March 31 and administered through WAI’s education programs.
The annual Clock Winding ceremony on Oct. 6 at WAI’s Madison, Connecticut, headquarters honored a postwar tradition linking the U.S. and U.K. wire industries. Guest clockwinder Bev Page emphasized how hands-on rituals, mentorship, and the Wire Link Scholar program sustain long-term friendships, shared learning, and a living sense of gratitude and community.
Wire Expo 2026 is off to a strong start after the Oct. 2 Points Meeting at WAI headquarters, where 91 companies secured 111 of 179 available exhibit units for the May 6-7 show at Milwaukee’s Baird Center. Remaining booths, including potential converted spaces, will be sold first-come, first-served, with added draw from co-location with the Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo
