10MBPS CABLE was created by Archived Forum Admin
A customer requires a cable with following specification: 2.5 Sq.mm Copper Conductor, EPR Insulation 0.8mm thick, conductor wrapped with melinex tape, Pairing of wrapped conductor, 4 pair cable.
They require the cable suitable for working upto 10mbps. How can we confirm the working of cable upto 10 mbps. What are the considerations and criteria for determining the same for a cable.

One supplier of the test equipment would be the Anritsu Corporation. This type of equipment can be quite expensive.

Thanks for replying. I think you did not get my question. I do not need a test equipment but I want to know how I can confirm that the cable with given design shall be suitable for a 10mbps speed.

Hello again and quite frankly,
Since you don't require the test equipment, build a full length cable as an experiment.
If it passes, sell it to your customer and if it fails, redesign and try again!
That is what qualified product engineering departments and experimental budgets are for.
