Machine info needed was created by Archived Forum Admin
I need to contact someone who might be familiar with a Herborn TF IIIc 13 die intermidiate wet draw machine, I've looked around and can't seem to find the Company that made these machines. The documention I have at present is lacking in a lot of areas. Thankyou

This is an update , The draw rings are made from a company called Remy, any info would be thankful.

Herborn. That goes back a while. When Hudson-Viking was formed, Viking wire had some Herborns for finer wire (30 to 44 awg). We used to say that they were "like Niehoffs" (same as when served somthing weird we say it "taste like chicken").

I think the similarity to Niehoff was that they were both made in Germany. Same for the Remy ring. Call Reiner Lashofer at Cemanco 954- 630-1323. In addition to being German, he has rings.

Richard

Hi Spectre,

I am aware that Niehoff formed a wholly owned subsidiary company in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1975 named Niehoff-Herborn Máquinas Ltda. in 1975 and it still exists today so, in my mind, there is a strong association of Niehoff with Herborn. See www.niehoff.com.br/

Are you sure you are not thinking of Henrich Maschinenfabrik GmbH? See www.henrich.net/

Update

I did contact Niehoff and although a bit complicated, here is what I learned:

" Niehoff & Herborn were partners for a long time. This relationship changed & eventually we went separate ways. Herborn eventually went into bankruptcy & assets were purchased by Dr. Keiselstein."

Niehoff Endex North America Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Maschinenfabrik Niehoff GmbH & Co. KG, still supports Herborn machines sold by Niehoff in North America through Keiselstein GmbH.

"Nearly two decades ago when Cemanco was founded, its main stream was to import German products into the United States." It has expanded a great deal since then.

I would imagine this is everything you will ever need to know about sourcing spare parts to maintain your Herborn equipment.
