Production Planning Software

Hi all. I'm looking for production planning software specifically designed, or at least well suited to, the wire manufacturing industry. Can anyone recommend a package worth looking at?

Your question is a little simplistic from the perspective of a full blown MRP computer system using the replacement for the long obsolete IBM system 3. You would have a configurator which could generate quotations, cable designs and routers. The sky is the limit with MRP systems.

Whatever you do, make sure you get lots of quotations after looking up and reviewing companies selling ERP for the wire and cable industry. Make sure you have really great computer people with you when you visit and evaluate software companies. Know exactly what you want and be super cautious. Good luck.
