Sumgayit Technology Park Expands Cable Exports Across Central Asia
Sumgayit Technology Park cable exports continue to grow as the company delivers high-voltage solutions to key energy infrastructure projects across Central Asia. As a result, STP strengthens regional power networks and reinforces its role as a leading industrial supplier.
STP Supplies High-Voltage Cable to Kazakhstan
Sumgayit Technology Park (STP) has delivered large volumes of 110 kV cable to Kazakhstan. These deliveries support the construction and reconstruction of the BURIL substation. In turn, the project improves electricity distribution in southern Kazakhstan.
The substation supplies power to parts of Shymkent, the country’s third-largest city. To meet project needs, STP supplied both control cables and low-voltage cables. As a result, the system delivers more reliable performance.
Sumgayit Technology Park Cable Exports Expand Regionally
At the same time, STP continues to expand its cable exports across Central Asia. For example, the company has delivered cable products to Tajikistan through a partnership with Tajikgidroenergoproekt JSC. These materials support the reconstruction of the Ravshan substation.
In addition, STP has signed export agreements with Georgia and Kyrgyzstan. It has already completed a significant share of these contracts. Therefore, STP continues to strengthen its role in regional infrastructure development.
At its facilities within the Sumgayit Technology Park, STP produces high-voltage cables rated at 220 kV, 330 kV, and 500 kV. Moreover, as Azerbaijan’s largest industrial complex for power infrastructure, the company manufactures transformers, hydraulic turbines, water pumps, electric motors, pipes, and technical gases.
