Smoke density of FRLS PVC was created by Archived Forum Admin
Generally what is the minimum light transmittance value for FRLS PVC jacketed cables when tested to IEC 61034 for smoke density testing?

If no value mentioned by the client IEC 61034 states 60% as the minimum light transmittance. Do you think FRLS PVC compounds available currently meet this requirement?

Appreciate if you could throw some light on this subject.

Bhognath

Hello shiv007,

The only way to answer your question properly would be to test your particular cable to see if the minimum light transmittance is indeed at least 60%. Thus, this is what we recommend you do.

After the test, your advice would sure be appreciated.

I just like to know on what you need this information.
FR or FR-LS or FR-LSH or FR-LS-H0.
