I would like to say that you can find information in the following BS:

1) BS EN ISO 14919:2001 THERMAL SPRAYING -WIRES,RODS AND CORDS FOR FLAME AND ARC SPRAYING - CLASIFICATION - TECHNICAL SUPPLY CONDITIONS.

2) To manufacture it you can use a PROPERZI LINE or Up-Cast. If you are interesting in the last, you can send me a E-mail and I will put you in contact with the company that can do it. Here you obtein a zinc wire that you can drawing in a drawing machine.

Attached is a small information about Zn wire and AlZn wire.

I will look up the ISO specs which you mentioned.

We are already manufacturing Zinc wire. I am just trying to optimize our process. So if you know of any technical publications dealing with manufacture of pure zinc wire please let me know.

Regarding up-cast which company are you referring to?
