Coating tank

Good day All..

Need some help in locating a product..

We use a coating tank that is heated to 120 degrees and within the tank there are different size balls floating on surface to conserve the evaporation of the liquid. What i would like to know where I can find a supplier for these balls, I don't even have a clue as to what these are called.

First I guess from your location that you are talking 120F. Is the liquid hot water. We used to use ping pong balls on warm water like this.

yes it is hot water and the ball are the shape of ping pong balls but somewhat thicker, is normal ping pong balls ok to use with this temperature.

They are just Polypropylene balls. they come in different sizes. Like you say they are used to reduce eveaporation. Biggest problems is choosing the size that works best for you.

People with electroplating tanks often use them. Size becomes important when you are dipping parts or pieces into the tank and there are ways and places that the ball(s) can get into the part. If you are not dipping parts but just have an open tank, then any size should work. Might want them to be big enough or put a screen over the suction inlet because if you should suck air you don't want your pump to ingest a ball.

You can also put lids on the tank.
